  1. I got a DVD that supports DTS and so does my Amplifier but the problem lies that my DVD has a coaxial output and my amplifier has an optical input.
Ive looked around on the internet and have found some gadgets to convert it from to another but i dont know if it will function correctly.

    Any response would b great.

most of the branded amplifiers such as DENON & YAMAHA usually let you reasign the digital inputs on the amp , on my denon i reasigned the optical dvd input for the cd coaxial input , as my preference is coaxial.

if you go to set up on the yamaha amp it should come on the screen with 1 to 15 settings (from memory , i have owned a couple of yams)one of those settings should be for digital in assignment or similar , press enter or move arrow to the right to get into the digital assignment submenu , where it has the dvd input it should be showing optical , use up or down arrow to move it to a coaxial input you are not using , (please bear in mind this is going by memory & that you might have to press slightly different buttons for it to work).
