  1. Hi everyone. I have been using this forum for a few days now and have found great information that addressed my curiosity. Now I have one question I would like to ask. I have a few DVD movies that I would like rip. But I don't want to rip the entire movie, instead I want a few chapters from multiple movies that I would love to compile into my own DVD movie, not VCD or Divx but DVD (sort of like a music cd compilation). I have read numerous post on how to do this, but they lacked information and were not very clear on what I needed to do. However, in a previous post I learned that you will need an authoring program like sizzle or DVD studio pro, but I have both and don't know exactly what i need to do next. I did read that Sizzle requires you to convert the extract vob files into mpeg 2 for authoring. How and what program do I need to do this? I tried doing something that didn't work out to well...I ripped a few .vob files (tracks that I wanted) from multiple dvds and then created a video_ts folder on Toast to create it. The dvd was created, but the sound wasn't there and the disk was screwed up. Toast even warned me before, that the compliation would probably be messed up. A nice tutorial or any help would be great. Thanks.

Use YadeX to rip to streams (it has a great viewer built in to see which chapter you want to extract) or use bbdemux to demux your .vobs to m2v and ac3. Then use Sizzle 0.1 to make a DVD without any menus (or try 0.5 for menus, but it's not quite polished yet) by adding the video to the complementary audio. Author as an image and open it with VLC or DVD Player to check.

  3. I ripped the files to from vobs to m2v and ac3 but I can't seem to import them into sizzle. Is there something else I need to do before I can open it from sizzle? Would I have to convert these files again to a different format for sizzle to recognize them? And I kinda get the concept of what sizzle is intended for but once you created your menus then what? do you save it as a .dmg that you will burn with toast? And yadex, where can I obtain this sofware and is it freeware? Sory for all the questions, but I have had difficulty trying to learn all this. Thanks for all of your help.

    Here's YadeX:

Are you using Sizzle 0.1 or 0.5b2? Because people were having problems with adding ac3 audio to it seen here:
