    Can someone give me the basics of going from a MniDV cam to SVCD on CD or DVD??? FAQ???

    I have access to Pinnacle Studio and Nero software.

    capture DV over firewire using DVapp or DVIO, both freeware. download TMPGenc encoder, it has a free demo. encode to mpeg2. author using TMPGenc dvdauthor, free demo available. burn with nero. enjoy.
