Hi all, i am currently having a problem with my ATI AIW 9600Pro.
I am capturing off satellite (foxtel australian pay tv) i have no sound card and using onboard sound (nvidia nforce 2).
I am getting way to high volumes, so high bass and slight crackling when i playback my capture, sometimes there's just one audio channel, then switches to two audio channels when playing back.....but sometimes the captures are perfect with no distortion at all...so im pretty confused.
My question is should i adjust my volume level with the satellite box?
Is there any way to adjust volume levels with the ati aiw card?
Should you adjust your volume level with your sound card?
Can the rca cables cause distortion?
Sorry about the long post guysif anyone can help it will be much appreciated

-
ATI has been famous for that. You can fix it by changing the
sound recording volume in the registry lower. I forgot the exact place
Software/ATI/...... etc. -
Not at all. First try to set the record volume in the Nvidia control panel.
If no workee - go find it in the registry and set it lower.
I had to do it . It's worked for a year now. -
Double click the vo;lume icon. Then click options>properties.
then click "recording"
Lower the line in source a litle and test capture.
