Let me start out by wishing all the Fathers a Happy Fathers Day
I've searched all over the web for a resolution to this problem. Whaen ever my brother and I attempt to share files of 30MB and over, the copy setion times out and reports this error, " Can not copy filename, specified network no longer available." He's trying to send me a copy of my nephew's Easter program. We can send pictures or any file that is smaller than 20MB, we just can't send or recieve anything over that size. I've been searching for an answer for this problem since Easter. Please, someone help me.

Sorry for not posting this info; How do I expect someone to help me without posting helpful info, My Bad.
I'm doing this online. We're both running XP Home. I'm using Road runner, while my brother use regular dial-up. I guess home network. He places the file is his shared folder and I navigate to that specific folder then execute a copy then paste. Like I mentined earlier, if the file is under 20MB I can copy with no problem. But anything over 20MB I time out and the error is presented.
Hope this info can be of some help -
try using MSN or ICQ to transfer the file. both quick and easy to set up.
30mb is a fair bit to transfer over a dialup modem, would take about 90 minutes at best. probably easier to burn to cdr and put it in the post is dialup is your only option.
