  1. I use MovieStar to capture VHS video to AVI....but can't use it to convert to mpeg-2 for burning to dvd...because of terrible audio-sync problems.
    (no...I can't use any other program...it's a lame Dazzle/MovieStar proprietary thing...)

So, I used to use ULEAD to create VIDEO_TS files directly from the AVI, and then dvd shrink to create file sizes that can fit on a DVD, then another program to burn.

But my ULEAD eval is over...and I don't have the $$$$ to purchase. Can anyone recommend an alternate program that will just create the VIDEO_TS files?

    Thanks

  3. Thanks, Baldrick....I've been to tools. Haven't been able, from the descriptions, to find what I'm looking for. That's why I was hoping that maybe someone had actually TRIED something in the handy "tools" section that they'd be willing to recommend.

  4. The freeware tools I would use are BBMPEG or AVI2MPG2 to encode to MPEG2, DVDAuthor and GUI for DVD aurthoring. All the links are in the Tools section.

    Here a guide for DVDauthorGUI:
