    Hi,
    How to reset the timecode of the minidv tape that has broken time
    code? My camcoder is a sony trv-20.

    I've read you can record over the entire tape with the lens cap ON and that should to it.

    yes you can do that. i always use adobe premiere and hook up my cam via firewire. then i just send a black video to the camera and hit record. this will actually reset the timecode to 0:00:00 all the way through the tape.
