    i have some videos with an m2v extension, some work for svcd and some become choppy and skip a lot, i tried to open them in TMPGEnc but it does not open m2v. I would like to find a way to convert these all to the same mpeg 2 video format. Anyone know what i can do?

    Sure! You can install a mpeg2 plugin for TMPGEnc, or simply install demo version of PowerDVD - TMPGEnc will use the PowerDVD mpeg2 decoder to open m2v
