I have a dvd burner. My mpeg files play real fast and the sound skips.I took one of the mpeg files out of the computer that skips and put the mpeg file into another computer and the file did not skip. Rm files dont skip. Just mpeg. Second i took the dvd burner out of that computer that skips the mpegs and put the burner in another computer. And none of the mpegs skipped. So it is not the drivers or the burner that is defective. I replaced the video card with the all in wonder video card because i wanted a capture card also and i figure my video card did not meet up to the specifications for the dvdburner. All that did not work. The mpegs still skip. When i tried to install the dvd burner software again, it gave me a error message sayin i did not keep my agrrement. Can you figure that one out, so it wouldnt let me install the software again even after i got the company to Send me a new software .So i formated the hardrive. That worked, but the files still
skipped. DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE IDEAS

definetly your computer and/or harddrive is too slow. try defragmenting your hard drive, never mind you just say you reformated!!!

Check the ASUS site for updated motherboard drivers. Your sound or other drivers could be out of date and causing the problem.
