All video files play jerky, they seem to play fast and stop often to let the seemingly normal audio catch up.
win98SE
P4 1.7 w/512m
GeForce4
defragmented HD and all drivers up to date.
This happens with all video files and DVD's in WMP 9, MediaPlayer Classic, Nero Showtime, PowerDVD 4 & up. The preview window in all versions of DvdShrink plays perfectly. Tried several different codecs with no change, also I just installed an old OEM version pf PowerDVD 3 and it works fine also. I don't play a lot of videos on the computer so I can live with this, I guess I am more curious than anything, but it would be nice to have the other apps work correctlly.
Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Nevermind, I just found the answer in the Capture forum.. Disabled the Intel onboard sound card and put in a generic Sound Blaster, all is well now!
