  1. Hey, when i try the plugin (0soft Disk Writer plug-in v2.0 (x86))(OUT_DISK.DLL), it takes my WAV (from Virtual Dub), and turns it into a RAW file. Which Panasonic Fails to read.
I've never used WinAmp before and I'm currently using version 2.77. Also in the plug-in settings for (OUT_DISK.DLL) i have a choice of different formats, but in this tutorial it didn't say that i should change anything so maybe that's my problem.
    P.S.
Should i try spitting the Divx in 2 parts before conversion so i don't risk screwing up the audio or anything. Like the matrix is 700MB in Divx and i know it's going to be over in VCD.

  2. Here's the tutorial i was given.
    How to do it:
    -------------
First you need the DivX Codec to run an DivX avi file. If you can play a DIvX then your set to proceed.

*Second load up Virtual Dub. Open the DivX AVI movie. Go to file menu and SAVE WAV...

**Next load the WAV file with WinAmp. Stop the play. Hit CTRL+P. Select Plug-ins
in the left menu and to the right select (0soft Disk Writer plug-in)(OUT_DISK.DLL)
Hit the Configure button to choose your out going directory. Hit the Close button.
Now press play. This will convert you a normal WAV file.

(If using Xing) Finally load up Xing MPEG. Hit New Button. Under VideoCD select PAL (25fps)
, FILM (23.976fps), or NTSC (29.97fps). Next. Select the DivX AVI for the Video.
Select the normal WAV for the AUDIO, and choose your final Target.
Hit Finish and start Encoding. Using Xing you cant crop, so if a DivX is cropped Xing
    will strecth it.

(If using Panasonic MPEG) Finally load up Panadonic MPEG. Hit the Video select button and
choose the DIvX Avi. Uncheck use identical files. Hit the Audio select button and choose
your normal wav you created with WInAMP. Panasonic MPEG will automaticly select the format
of your VCD so we don't need to mess with Output settings other then making the picture
not stretched. Type = VCD/NTSC, VCD/PAL if 25 fps. If the DivX has been cropped with no black
top and bottom bars then hit he Special Processing button. Select Add Black in the Crop Settings,
and make the Top and Bottom 50 (Algebraic Formula Below). Click OK.
Now click Start Encoding. This is the best method and looks about 95% as good as if
you were ripping it off the DVD itself. Takes longer but well worth the wait.

Cut it in half using VCD Cutter for 2 CDs and Bingo a MPG file you can burn as a
VCD with Nero or EASY CD ( only if you have a complete movie ).
