Would you commute with a vehicle like this?

This is a vehicle conversion of a CabOver truck incorporated with a track and a hydraulic transmission. The conversion has been around since the late 90's. I first saw the prototype in 97', but didn't know they had so many problems bringing it to market, due to car and oil companies. The main thing is the transmission, which is lighter than any other hydraulic trasmission made, and it improves a vehicles gas mileage. From the information I've gathered, in around 2 years they will be allowed to have the transmission put into US vehicles. It's kind of blocked to have it made any sooner due to laws (ones that seemed to have been written by the 'BIG 3' to prevent competition). Nissan will incorporate the transmission into their cars and make the CabOver track vehicle. Daimler/Chrysler will be using just the transmission for it's vehicles when it becomes available.
