  1. Hi there,

I bought a region 1 DVD and when I play it on my PC, with a NEC ND-2500A, the VIDEO_TS folder is empty. It plays OK in my TV DVD reader. Is this some kind of protection mechanism, or is it something with the NEC drive? Thank's in advance,

they cant read it if your computer doesn't see it ..

it is not a new protection system
    ...

try rebooting with the DVD in the player or something .. or popping in and out a few times or refreshing ...

check properties and see if the size is correct ...

check with DVD Decrypter also as sometimes it will see a disk, i notice, before windows will ..

or possible -- it IS something with your drive -- or not reading UF structure correctly ..
