I know there is a post below this one on jerking in the video (or lagging) between PAL and NTSC but I need help with it in all aspects. What causes it? How can I stop/reduce it.
I saw someones encode of a movie called Blueberry, it was a 2 cd VCD and the BEST quality encode EVER. DVD quality, no loss. I was amazed. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that but in the mean time I just wanna know how I can get the best quality out of VCD or SVCD. I would also like to be able to burn the resulting file to DVD-R.
I have read the Guide on Configuring TMPGEnc for highest quality, DVD MPEG II, or something like that. It didn't help that much, I followed it to a "T" but the resulting file was still jerky, the source file is very good quality ((Xvid, 25FPS, 592x320, video data rate: 138kbps, sample size:24 bit, MP3 audio rate:145kbps)). I am in the NTSC region, I believe the source might be PAL so I will try the sugestion in the forum below.
Anyone help/ point me in the direction of a good guide for this.
Thanks,
TylerJ
P.S.
I have read almost everything on Doom9, and this site... some articles on dvd-hq
