Vob audio problem

Hi,

I just download a Vob file from some movie site, it's a dobly digital Egypt
movie about 30sec's i rip the with VobEdit to a mpeg2 and Ac3 5.1 files but when i try to put this onto a dvd with Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 LE
which lets me replace the sound to ac3, but once copy to dvd and played
the sound is not copyed to the dvd can anyone help thanks.

Hello,
I know what you've got, it's one of those older dobly trailer files. It's easy, if you just want to burn the vob to a rewritable disc to test it here you go:
create a new folder called video_ts
copy the vob (intact as you got it from the website) to the video folder
open a dvd burner program (nero, roxio, etc)
burn the whole video_ts folder (with the vob in it)
play the disc!
Note: it won't have menus or anything unless you author it with Tmpeng or another one that will accept ac3 audio.

thanks i try that, so dose any one know if there are any free progs
like ffmpeggui03 that do ac3 5.1 or dts....
