the problem i am having is most of my still imagesare round the 1024 X 768 resolution. when i make menus in adobe premiere pro for dvds these still are naturally larger than needed. the problem is when i put them into premiere pro it crops them instead of resizing them down to the dvd resolution for me. i currently have to open them in adobe photoshop and resize them first so i dont get them croped and loos some of the image in premiere pro. there must be some setting somewhere in premiere pro to stop it from cropping the still and resize them down instead right? i just cannot find anything.

There is a setting you can change, but I can't remember where it is. I wouldn't recomend changing it anyway, the default setting is much more usefull.

It's best to use images that are 720 x 540 for NTSC video. If you have one that is too big in the timeline, select it, go into the effects tab, click on Motion, then go into the Preview window and click on the image. It will give you resize bars that you can grab to resize it the way you want.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
