VirtualDubMod causing problems with filters??

PICVideo MJPEG should be set at "2 fields if more than 240 lines" if you are capturing at Full D1 or Half D1 resolution (in other words a capture height of 480).

This is for NTSC of course.

I thought about that too. I went to their site and it says to turn it off if your PC can keep up. It is only there for PC's that cannot handle capturing both fields.

I turned it off and noticed a huge difference in video quality.

OK, I must have been smoking soemthing. I cannot find where I found it. Mayeb it was in the HELP file that comes with the codec. I'm at work so I cannot search my history or the help file. Some of the sites I look at get web sensed here at work. I'll look when I get home.

I just tried CCE, MC and TMPGEnc with the new PicVideo capture settings. I have removed the "if more then 2 lines" setting and the results are terrific on the TV.

Now I just have to decide which encoder to stick with.
