  1. I completed my first project using DVDit 2.5 SE, but not without
several problems. The one that I can't figure out is a problem with
the order of buttons on a menu. Is there a way to force a certain
sequence as to which menu buttons get highlighted as you press the
down arrow or right arrow on a standard DVD player?

When I tested my menu inside the DVDit application, the controls and
arrow buttons worked as I wanted. However, when I put the finished
DVD into any DVD player, the arrow buttons fall out of sequence, in
the same pattern on all DVD players that I've tried.

I see no reference to this in the manual. It does refer to the NEXT
button, but I am referring to the ARROW buttons. Very confusing!

  2. Hi, I dont know that prog very well and what I have to say might not seem like much help at the minute but you might wanna look towards getting DVD Lab. It might seem like a very overwhelmingly complicated prog on first use (was to me anyway) but there are guides and articles on here that will help you get started. I got to grips with the basics of it in about a month (and I am no expert by any stretch of the immagination)

Also it gives you more control over the way your DVD will look & play and I know it has a function that will let you route your navigation buttons any way you want them to be. sorry I couldnt be of more immediate help.

    Kind Regards,
    jip.

I've used DVDit 2.5 PE for several original projects and the answer to your question is NO.

If your buttons are not lined up either vertically or in near perfect position top left, top right, bottom left and so on it gets all confused as to the order. If youright click on the menu and choose Show Button Links or something like that, you will see all the button info. Also make sure nothing is overlapping when you are in so called button link mode ( you see black boxes with text iinfo rather than pretty buttons ). Any overlap renders the two items inactive.

DVDit! 5.1 allow button mapping. It's a new feature to the software. One of many.
