Anybody know what the letters U-K stand for. I keep seeing different letters after the Model#'s. I just want to make sure I buy the right one.

The letter is a color of the casing ..... U is Silver, K is Black ..... that's it !!

S is Silver, not U. K is Black.
U is supposingly UK (or US), there are also EU = European. But note that there is a model that does play MP3 and one that doesn't. As far as I know, they dont differ in any letters, but the MP3 model has blue sticker "With MP3 playback" on its front panel. Anyway, you'd better ask your seller. -
Panasonic finally wrote me back on this, I guess ill see what it does when I get it:
Thank you for your inquiry. The product is a US model. The letters at the end are manufactures codes. They do not mean that there is a difference in the features of the models.
