  1. I have a .img of a DVD and would like to make a backup of it. I've searched the guides and can't seem to find one describing this procedure. I have Alcohol 120% but it does not recognize .img as a standard image format and asks me to manually configure a bunch of options. I've tried burning with Nero as well, but it get an error when I feed it the .img file. I know the .img file works, because I've read it from Alcohol's virtual drive feature.

    -Thanks

Can you then copy all the files to your HD and burn with Nero as DVD-Video?

If you want to burn the .img just use DVD Decryptor. Its free, supports all new burners, and burns images perfectly.

If you want to mount the .img and work with it from there, then use DaemonTools.

If it complains about the img file then the image is probably corrupt in some way.

  6. Argh, just burned the .img file using DVDecypter and now my computer does not see the DVD at all. It says there is no disc in the drive.

EDIT: I just booted the .img in Alcohol 120%, and it does indeed work.

    Whats the message you get....
Foriegn file format or such....If it is just click OK and it will burn. You are using a format of disk your player can read ?

If the dvd image file works in your virtual drive then do a copy wizard burn with alcohol 120% or dvd copy with nero using the virtual drive as your copy source.

  9. I'd just like to thank everyone for their help first of all. Turns out when I burned it in decrypter, I had "test burn" or whatever clicked. Doh! I feel so silly.
