Ive read several posts about an "unofficial" firmware update for my 107 superdrive that will allow it to burn 4x media @ 8x.
Ive also read about an "official" firmware update (v1.16?).

Will installing either of these void my warranty?
How will the "official" update affect my drives performance?
If v1.16 is "official" and will not void my warranty I'd like to install it, but how do I?

    Many, many thanks

  3. Hello
    I have the pioneer 107D with v1.05

I too would like to update. I found the previous thread that mentioned a french site confusing. I have downloaded the following:

PIONEER_DVR-R-107.sit and DVRFlash_v1.2.zip I undersrtand decompression etc, but do not understand the difference with these, or if there are 'newer' ones or what to do.

    Id appreciate your help

    thanks rotut

Take a look at this topic on this forum :

The flasher from the french site works on OSX, the flasher from the ">NIL" site works on windows.
