Well, I assume that DVD-Lab doesn't actually re-encode all the video, because that would be very destructive to the image quality. But I really can't be certain. It has options for doing things like applying an anti-jitter filter, and forcing "safe" NTSC colors, and processes like that certainly have to involve re-encoding the video. I switched all that off.
So, does it still re-encode the video? :P

It can't rencode video, but it does render still menus. Those setting you mention are for still menu creation.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
