    Hi ,

Hope i put that in the right section

    ANyway , i burn on a dvd a standard non-compressed avi file.

My friend got a brand new G4 powerbook and when he put the dvd in , the MAC sees that something the size of 3.5 gig is on the disk but doesn't see any file.

My friend got media player and all the codecs (my ile is not compressed so the codec thing shouldn't be a problem anyway)

    Any ideas on that

more specifics on "it sees something"

    what is the file type?
what icon did the mac display

does he/she has Video Lan Client or Perhaps MPlayerOSX installed?
These apps will play just about any video file without the need for codex's to be installed

if it truely is a divx, and you are viewing it in quickitme you must first off install the Mac version of the divx codex and 2nd use the "doctor" to correct the audio do quicktime can play it back

this is somewhat of a hastle so thats why VLC or MplayerOSX are so nice.
    hope this helps
