I have a few old divx 3.11 videos and according to Gspot the audio codec is "mpeglayer3 (mp3) (0x0055) ISO/MPEG" and my dvd player will not play the audio with that codec. When trying to play the file with media player classic I get the AVI Chunk Viewer window that says "This AVI file was not prepared for sequential readin, the alternative 'Avi Splitter' will now let the efault one handle it. The complete reinterleaving of this file is strongly recommended before burning it onto a slow media like cd-rom."
I tried converting the audio to LameMP3 and leaving the video to direct stream copy in VirtualDub but now they're desynced. It seems to be an offect desync. I'm not very experienced with VirtualDub so any ideas on how to convert the audio and not have any desync? BTW, the audio is desynced when played both on my computer and the dvd player.
Thanks for the help.
