Slightly off target inquiry here...I just ugraded to digital capable equipment. My CD-R's recorded from downloaded sources, Itunes and Rhapsody, have "dropouts" when played through digital streams and do not when played through the onboard DAC's outputted to the analog inputs on the processor. This has now occured with my older Rotel RCD-50 and the Denon 2900 I just purchased. All sources are recorded in 44/16 cda formats onto 80 min CD-R's. The players timers reel off correct track time data during the lost portions of sound output. I do not believe it is the media, but am checking through my collection of burned cd's to corroborate. As of now the problem only relates to downloaded music sources, all commercially pressed cd's or ripped cd's operate without this problem.
Any ideas people?![]()
