Hi. Just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this. I'm converting for example a .avi to Mpeg2 which I use one of TMPGenc 2.5 or 3.0 I then use TMPGenc DVD Author and then NERO to burn.
Occassionally I get a burned file that jumps frames. The player will keep counting but the film pauses, then the counter jumps back a few seconds and the film continues with a jump.
Any one know a few likely causes of this and what can be done to prevent.
Thanks.

Could be many things, but often its bad media. Your player might be sensitive for the media you are using. Did you try to verify the disks to ensure they are correctly burned? You must lower the burn speed if the disks fail to verify, and buy another brand next time. Always spend some time at htt://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia before buying blank DVDs, will save you both money and trouble.
