  1. it took me days to get MMC to work...i kept getting UNABLE TO START TV.....after trying various cataylst drivers and different versions of MMC it worked!!!!

I was already shakey and hairless by this time so when it wouldnt let me capture uncompressed AVI it was time to throw the pc at the wall..........

whenever I change the preset to uncompressed avi it goes back to YYUV video (native) or whatever (the top one).....which won't play or load into premiere and isnt uncompressed because it claims ive got loads more room on my hard drive than i have....aaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

You've probably botched it up installing/uninstalling so many versions. This is a user error, not an ATI error. But it's easy to correct.

You need to clean off ALL ATI stuff from the PC. Uninstall it. Then use the ATI uninstall utility from ati.com. Then manually clean out folder from ATI. Maybe run a registry-cleaner like Norton Windoctor to remove ATI stuff.

When you're back to nothing, finally, install ONLY the one you want to keep.

And when you're ready to capture with it, follow the guides at digitalFAQ.com for best experience.

  4. I installed the latest version of the ATI MMC software and it cleared up all bar one of any issues I had with it. My only problem now is figuring out how to capture to DivX correctly - I'm sure this is down to me getting the right settings - as at the moment the ATI software shows 25Gb as only being able to record 34 minutes of DivX.
