You really should combine Kansas City KS and Kansas City MO, to be fair to us all in KC. And, I understand that this doesn't take suburbs into account, so anyone got a link to a table that does take the burbs into account? I know that KC (both KS and MO) has somewhere like 2 to 3 million with the burbs included.
That's biased though, only taking KCMO... BAH humbug!!!

Didn't mean to slight KC. I like the area and wish I had a dollar for every night I've spent in Overpriced ParkOriginally Posted by shelbyGT

I like KC and you're right, with the metro area included it is way bigger than Albuquerque. Maybe that's why Albuquerque is larger in the city limits - because we have no suburbs and anyone who lives in the town probably lives within the city limits. Kansas city has Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, etc. - all very large communities, some over 100,000 like OP and Olathe.
We have close-in towns that some people commute in from, like Los Lunas, Belen, Moriarty, Edgewood, Placitas, Cedar Crest, but they're not really suburbs and are pretty small little piss-ant towns except for Belen maybe.
That's why I was so surprised when I found that census table. I've been to KC and know it's massive. I had to re-read the table a few times, and felt compelled to post it because it goes against intuition.
Same with Atlanta. It's got an enormous metro area when you include Cobb county and the near-outlying towns. Waaayyyyyy bigger than us with those included. But the city proper - a big surprise to me. I would have thought that even within the city limits Atlanta, or Miami for that matter, would have been many multiples of our population. -

KC is a good town. Of all of the places I've been, KC is the easiest place to get laid. I had a good two years there.
