using tmpgenc xpress

converting movies to run on tmpenc author with tmpgenc xpress but this is very slow , i mean around 8-12 hours each file, is their a quicker way and if so what program and what settings please

When you do the output format selection (where you choose the burn template ie VCD, DVD etc) on the right hand side of the window is an option for the rate control mode. 3.0 default is VBR. The other option is CBR. VBR is 2 pass, which improves the image quality but takes more time. If you change this to CBR (which I think TMPGenc 2.5 was default as) it will shorten the time but lower the quality.
