Hi,
I'm just about to put some old tapes on DVD.
First I thought mpeg2, and then I found TMPGEnc DVD Author.
This program put mpeg1 on a DVD. This is very cool. Now I can put a lot more tapes on one DVD
Problem is at the moment I would have to do this in 3 steps, so I was wondering if there a codec out there I can set the sound to be 48KHz instead of the normal 41Khz??
1. capture as avi - this I have done before because my PC wasn't faster enough
2. convert to VCD/Mpeg1(SVCD maybe?)
3. convert audio to 48KHz
If would be nice to capture as Mpeg1 with audio 48KHz, but even if I can convert from AVI to Mpeg1 with audio 48KHz that would save a lot of time.

No special "codec" for this - TMPGEnc let's you set whatever sampling rate you wish. (If you use the VCD templat, you have to apply the "unlock" template too.) And you're not tied to mpg1 either I think. 352*240/288 (NTSC/PAL) will work with M2V too.
