While this does not involve me in the least, and I rarely express my personal opinion in these matters.... , ok, at least not in the serious matters, I would have to say that if you broke the rule, you were not the only one! It does take two! From what I have seen, it has been tit-for -tat for a while now. Stalking seems a bit of a harsh word, but as flan said, you have been riding him pretty hard lately. Since the involved party was in the dance as well, perhaps this is a case where a different mod should have made the call....As my sig says......

BJ_M, remember though. Even if warnings are removed we still see them listed in the warning search. Offline must have warned him for his post made back in 2002

Because Baldrick doesn't have a problem with the MPAA trying to shut down forums whose members's avatars show copyrighted material, but does have a problem with pages being sued and shut down for posting warez material.

What's the proceedure for appeals?
Please, don't tell me it's the original moderator, under the current circumstances what chance have I of that?
I haven't stalked offline (my God, stalked???), but yes, okay, I have posted a couple of messages which may have painted the guy in a poor light, but they were my opinion (the thread about the specific moderators replying to complaints made about them springs to mind, and the fact topics are closed far too early, just because someone might not agree with the discussion, regardless of the AUP).
If offline feels this is the case then that's regrettable, it's not the case, and I'll accept the opinion made here and watch my posts to offline in future, although I've always found this site to be free of the restrictions normally associated with free speech.
I don't believe I've violated the AUP and when I do so will happily accept the yellow card, but it's clear to me all but one of the moderators here are fair, friendly and uphold the spirit of this site perfectly, and can accept personal opinion and critism like adults, and respond accordingly.
I'm by no means intending to aggravate offline, that is not my intention, this is just my opinion, I mean no harm and if, as offline suggests, my 'twat' post contravenes the AUP then I'll accept it.
I'd just like clarification from a moderator/admin (other than offline, for obvious reasons) is all.

I'm of the opinion offline has simply caught up with me, for expressing opinons in the past he didn't like
I think it was virtualis who once put it best (in response to a completely different issue)....

...there are more important things in life other than this forum.

I've given the issue far too much credence, but in a nutshell the warning was retaliation and for me goes against every principle a moderator is appointed for.
There, I feel better now.

I have no doubt offline wll remove the warning in thirty days.

My opinion, and that's what it is, is that he is.
I used that terms once to emphasise a point regarding moderators shouldn't be the ones to respond to complaints made about them (an issue which had nothing to do with me but in the public domain therefore open to discussion).
And please, don't pretend he didn't enjoy the job, half of the site here would give a limb to be a bloody moderator, and for what reason I have no idea.
Like I say, I've spent too much time on this, it's (this thread) turned into something it wasn't intended to be and other than my opinion (which I won't change) I bear offline absolutely no ill will whatsoever.
We happen to dislike each other and that's fine.
I'm sure in person he's a very likeable chap.
