  1. I'm using TMPGEnc v2.59.47.155 Plus. When i'm using the Project Wizard and I select my source file I get the error 'File "C:\AVSEQ01.MPG" can not open, or unsupported.' I've tryed searching google and tryed methods others have suggested but none of it is working. Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards.

  2. Run it thru with VCDGear and check that box says ' fix mpg error'. And run it thru TMPGEncPlus again to see if it work.

make sure you got the right mpeg-2 codec installed and also make sure that your mpeg-2 from the svcd is filtered correctly. Best way to rip it is with isobuster

On its own, TMPGEnc can't read mpeg2 (SVCD). I think there's a mpeg2 decoder plugin available under Tools here, or you can install the trial (or full of course) version of PowerDVD to cure this shortcoming...

  5. Thanks for the replies. vcdgear solved the error, but now when I try to add my file as the video source in the project wizard, the hard drive is busy for about 10 seconds, then the hard drive light just flashes about once every five seconds. I waited 15 minutes and it still hadn't loaded. Any ideas?

    Regards.

TMPG needs to scan the file. It can take awhile. Why not just use DVD2AVI? TMPG will load the .d2v project file.

  7. How would I use DVD2AVI to do it because i'm trying to convert SVCD to DVD Also how long should TMPGEnc take because it must have been going 30 mins+ atm. I'm using 3 files with the "Open sequence files as a movie" option so it's about 2.2GB total.

    Regards.

Just tryed leaving it run for an hour, still nothing. TMPGEnc is listed as 'Not responding' in Task Manager as soon as I try to add it. Am I doing something wrong?
