  1. I got some Surething hub labels. But it seems that it's hard to apply the hub label properly. The Surething labeler is surely a crap though their hub label is terrific.

Can someone tell me what's the best way to apply the hub label properly and easily? Is there any tool out there?

    Thanks.

I use the purple one. I place the label on the spindle and use an ink pen or sharpened pencil to push it under the little holders on the bottom. Then place the disk on top and press down.

  3. I hope I can find something like Neato (Fellowes) provides. It's relatively accurate and easy to use.

The one Surething provides is hard to use. I can see that you must be very careful to put the hub label on the labeler.

    Thanks for your input.

  4. I took the advice of forum members last year, drop the purple applicator and just apply by hand. I've been applying by hand and it works great. Good luck

  5. Does anyone try 3-Hub CD Label Applicator?

    http://www.labelwhiz.com/html/applicator1.html

I can't find out how it could work properly from the website.

  6. The "CD Stomper" applicator is what I use.

Never messed up a single lable, (core lables also) after hundreds of uses.

  7. CD Stomper didn't work last year when I tried it. I thought perhaps I missed something and carefully tried it again today. YOu're better off applying it by hand because the Stomper doesn't get the HUB label center. It works great for regular cd labels but not HUB labels.

  8. With the "Stomper", my hub lables fit tightly over the center post, and my DVD's fit tightly over the center post.

I can't put these hub lables on off center, if I tried.

I can't see where you could be having this problem, unless your core labels have big holes in them.

    Does yours look like this?

My core labels are too big for the CD Stomper. Since yours fit so snugly, what brand do you use? I use Surething.

Get the Memorex Labeling system. It will apply all types of cd labels.

  11. I use surething too and my core labels are too big for the hub. I'm curious to know which brand you use. Thanks

  12. Looks like there are at least two types of core (hub) labels here.

One is from Neato or others except Surething. Their inner diameter is the same as CD. So you can use Stomper or Neato applicator.

The other is Surething. Its inner diameter is bigger than CD, ie. it covers less area than other core/hub labels.

I have not found any applicator can be used with Surething's hub label, even the one comes with ST's hub label kit.

Maybe we can get the specifications on each core label, Surething and Neato. I would switch if Neato's center is smaller.
    Hello.

  14. You can check the size by naked eye.

    Just goto Surething website and

    http://www.neato.com/neato_prodtest_sheet.asp?class%5Fid=%5FCDCORELABELS&cat=%5FCDLABE...PK1LVR5TSD49UC

But I do like Surething's hub label except I can't apply it properly. I don't know how Neato's software works as good as Surething or not.

Okay, do me a favor, and take your bionic eyeball and tell me the measurements of core labels center hole. I can't tell.
    Hello.

  16. See attached label. I am sure you can see the difference.

  17. CD Stomper applicator hole is 15 mm in diameter
Surething hub labels are 17mm in diameter
    I used a measuring tape, so there's about a 2mm difference

Anyone have a NEATO core label?
    Hello.

  19. I use the Neato hub/core labels.

They have a 15mm center hole.

It's the same size as the center post on the Stomper.

  22. Downloaded the software for Neato (mediaface II) Played with it for a while and prefer Surething's software over it. I like the Neato labels, but I am not so inconvenienced that I need to switch brands. Good luck to all.

I use only Memorex branded labels

  25. I find the easiest way to apply a Hub Label is to place it "sticky" side up in a regular CD Jewel case holder, and press the DVD/CD onto it that way.

The CD jewel case holder automatically centers the Hub Label to the DVD/CD and you get perfect placement each time. I have done this to many a DVD, and I found was quicker than trying to "eyeball" the label to ensure a perfect placement.

  27. Been eyeballing it. The applicator is a pain. Its easy after a while to get it right.

  28. They are the Memorex 3-n-1 labels that you can get at Wal-Mart, that come in the 100 label bulk pack. I would prefer just Hub labels, but have not found any stores or websites in Canada that sell just Hub Labels yet.

    Ditto.

I've got SureThing hublabels and the plastic purple label applicator and
getting the labels on and centered is so much easier and accurate
    freehand, than using the applicator.
