    Hi
    I have got the TMPGEnc and found 'use multi-thread' in the setting and wonder what this does and if i should use it what settings should i use.

    Scan down to the bottom and "Other Options". Multithreading is good for dual CPU's or Pentium 4's so in your case it should be off.
