divx with ac3?

Hi people,
Recently I got a show which is in divx format with AC3 audio but now i am trying to add permanent subtitles to it, but i face a problem when using tmpgenc, the error is that it tells me that my .VDR file is not supported therefore could not be continue, before that I have done everything as follow in the guide provided using virtualdub, frameserve and things like that, well may anyone please provide a help for me? Well i was told that i need a file called read_avs.dll or something like that...well may i know where can i get it? Thanks

thank you very much for the help , but yet i faced another problem when i press on the encode button, it says that *The error occurred when ACM was initialised* Wonder may anyone enlighten me whats going on and any solution for me. Thanks a million
