Hi all,
I am new in Gordian Knot this DVDRip tool, now I have some question about of the DVD2AVI include in Gordian Knot.
From the guide that I find in this web, they teach me in DVD2AVI press "F5" to preview the movie, I followed this step, the problems is, the FPS show in DVD2AVI maybe incorrect, for example, it show 29.97, NTSC, Interlaced, but after I press "F4" in DVD2AVI to save the project to d2v, later open it in Gordian Knot, the FPS is 29.97, but the final AVI output after encode and later I open it in BSPlayer, it show 23.97, why? What is wrong on my DVD2AVI? Do DVD2AVI show me's preview is incorrect or it lie me??? How to know the movie is true 29.97 or 23.97, my movie is "24 Season 1 Disc1", DVD2AVI show me have 3 Vob Cell ID, for example 1 1 is Chapter 1, 1 2 is Chapter 2 etc ....
I am feeling confuse in DVD2AVI's preview result, who can tecah me how to do the output AVI well, and I have other problems too, about the subtitle rip by SubVob, the timeing is not syn to the Vol Cell ID 1 1 's movie, because the output is 23.97, but it show 29.97 in DVD2AVI, how to solve the syn subtitle with the movie??

Mpeg2 has vairable framerate, which confuses most programs.
Most movies first few frames, (the do not copy this warning) are in NTSC (29.976). After that the movie starts, which is in FILM (23.976). Nearly every movie is that framerate. TV is NTSC 29fps.
When you view the preview, it will say 29.976, cuz thats what it starts out in, but let it run a few minuits. Notice the FILM % goes up?, thats because the movie is in 23.976, the average goes up. Just go the field operations, select FORCE FILM. And it will work correctly. Aparently it did for you anyways, so your in luck.
To be 100% sure, open the DVD in media player classic, right click, select filters > video renderer. It will show the current fps, play the movie a bit and ull see if its 29.9 or 23.9 fps.
Dunno much about subs, but there is an option in gknot for fixing there sync.
