Not specifically, I'll need to check out what's at home, but I can tell you with the 1300, I have had no problems with Memorex, TDK, or FujiFilm. I will be testing some Sony's soon. My 1300 has 1.0a firmware..... factory.

depends how much you want to spend on the disc? cheap disk and work well... or good disc and last you while for it?

Ritek G04 good disc but expensive (you could find them on many onlines companies like www.shop4tech.com, www.meritline.com, www.rima.com and so on)

Matrix (www.shop4tech.com) cheap and work good
    Digital Matrix (www.meritline.com)

all of above product will work will for you on your drive.

I've used Ricoh's (over 40 of them) and not had 1 coaster, using the NEC ND-1300A. I primarily burn Ritek G04's though, but Ricoh are the only DVD+R I use, on the rare occasion I need to burn +R instead of -R. Either one is great for me though, using the firmware it shipped to me with, 1.06.

NEC says that the only approved Ritek media is L19.

L19 is the serial listed on the tiny text around the hub (something like H4-3L19305164889D00)

H is the factory, 4 is the floor, 3 is the line. I think 30516 is the date code 2003/05/16. BTW, this was the code from a coaster

L19 is the dye type, so all G04 should be L19.
