it means your divx is broken or corrupt....I bet virtual dub only open the movie until that part....you can try using the source range option to get past the broken part and encode the rest of the movie but you will probably have out of sync....that is another issue.

Try the process again, but avoid using any media player device whilst it is in progress. This was a solution given in a previous post and it worked for me - otherwise do what surfisher said...
