I am going to upgrade my pc at the weekend and about the only thing i wasnt going to change was the graphics card.Saying that though i have some movies on vhs which i might want to convert to dvd in the future and was wondering if my graphics card was able to capture them.
Its a Sparkle GeForce4 MX440 8*.
Im not even sure if any graphics cards are able to capture or is it a sepearte card?.
If im going to by a new card or cards is there an easy way to tell if it will capture VHS.
By the way the card doesnt have to be too powerful as i dont play games or anything.
Thanks in advance.

maureen,
A quick google search on the Sparkle - looks like it has "TV out" only. This means you can send a signal from the PC to the TV, but not input a signal to the PC.
To Capture video (VHS etc) you're going to need another card/device. Check out the "Capture Cards" section listing on the left-hand side.
There are lots of options to choose from depending on your budget. A cheap solution is a "TV card" which will allow you to connect your VCR, Camcorder etc as well as allowing you to watch TV on the PC. I have a "Pinnacle PCTV" card which costs about STG £40.
