TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress functions

I have TMPGEnc Plus 2.5. I use Merge/Cut function for editing TV commercials all the time. It is fast and without re-encoding.

I can't find this function in XPress. Can anyone verify this before I buy it.

I haven't used Xpress yet but by all reports I've heard, upgrading to it is a waste of money. There is very little if any improvement over 2.5 and 2.5 remains the choice of most of us who use it.

I have had 3.0 with AC-3 for only a few days but like it. One nice addition is that you can store different filter templates. I think the shut off computer function when finished is much better.

One thing that I really, really, really dislike about 3.0 is that it requires a higher resolution to use than 800x600. I find the higher resolutions make everything too hard to see even with large fonts enabled.
