Lately I've downloaded a lot of divx-movies who seem to be damaged in a similar way. The audio is good but the video image keeps on flashing. Is there anyone who has noticed this problem also and who knows what it is? Is there anybody who knows how to fix it? I've already tried divfix, but that didn't work.

Probably nothing wrong with your video, just a poor selection of codecs, most likely XviD trying to play through DivX.
OOPS! You said "downloaded" and "movies" in the same sentence.
We suggest you wait for the dvd release, or go see it in the theatre.Cheers, Jim

I have neer seen anything like that occur due to Xvid playing back divx content, assuming the encode was good to start with. Most likely a junky encode that you downloaded.

If the same guy has capped and encoded the bad movies, then the downloaded files could be the problem. Its more likely they use some codecs your pc doesnt like, so time to uninstall some old codec-stuff and get something new.
