  1. If anyone is having problems with audio staying in sync while converting to VCD/SVCD, you may want to give this a try. I had all but given up till I read this helpful tip from FOTD I believe.

    1) Open up VirtualDub and load the avi file.
    2) Select Audio\Full Processing Mode.
    3) Select Audio\Conversion and set it to 44100Hz.
    4) Select Save Wav and wait about 3-4 minutes.
    5) Use that as the audio source in TMPGEnc.

Worked perfectly for every movie I've tried it on so far.

I'm sure some of you more experience users already know about this, but to any newbies like myself this will save weeks of aggravation.

    Good Luck

  2. Thanks for the tip on solving audio sync problems, but even after trying it I'm still having difficulty getting my audio to sync with my video.

I've tried changing the TMPGEnc template (PAL, NTSC), ripping first to a "wav," even using dbAmp Power Converter. No luck! Anyone with suggestions (a different program to do the conversion, that maybe I can tweak the frame rate with?) would be appreciated. Thanks! --Kaga.

My suggestions : always encode audio and video separately and remux with tmpegenc for mpeg and virtualdub for divx. If you have dificulty use Womble for mpeg - available in Spain and AVI Info for divx as suggested in the guide. Both allow you to offset the audio which will match sound to lips as long as you have same run length audio and video.
