On a sad note: dont feel bad man, when I got my iMac I almost sent the thing back in for a bad modem, seems whenver I plugged the phoneline in the phones in the house went dead (usually means a bad switch on the modem) it all my years of PC suppor ti never realized if you plug a phone cable into a NIC jack it will click in, AND take your lines off the hook for ya. -

Faq Updated:
will fix this problem so that FAq will shortly be out of date.
The colour coding is confusing to many people; something
acer aka BenQ and IBM found out to their cost as many users
hot swapped their input devices and shorted their mainboards
under warranty.
Rumors of a simplified MAC like mouse being made, however,
are false -

Called the serviceman, he came over, opened the FREEZER compartment, and said "Helps if you turn it on!". Ok, a little red in the face, but I had tried on the cooler side, I didn't know the master on/off was on the freezer side, I never opened that side. He didn't charge us for the service call, but offered a "tune-up" for $40.00 (US). I gladly paid him, he earned it.
I will bet you that never happens again.
