  1. In editing home movies (.MPG files) to DVD-Video format using TMPGEnc DVD Author, I'd like to separate scene changes in the MPG by 2-seconds of blue screen. I can create a 4:3 aspect plain blue picture in Microsoft Paint and save it as JPG or BMP. How do I convert that to a 2-second MPG video stream? (When I subsequently bring it into TMPGEnc DVD Author, will it complain that it doesn't have an audio stream?) Thanks.

  2. Well the cheapest way is to use Windows Movie Maker and output to avi(wmv works also),then use TMPGEnc,etc to convert to MPEG.

  3. Wouldn't VCDEasy produce the mpeg needed even faster?

  4. Use any audio editor to make a silent 2 second wav file. Load this and your blue screen pic into TMPGenc, set the desired output file / format and hit go. Should be done in a few seconds.

  5. Avisynth has the blankclip() function as well, though I don't know if you can make it blue or not. How many ways are there to do this?

    *edit* Then convert of course....

  6. Thanks very much. I started with Windows Movie Maker since I already had that and it creates what I need pretty easily.
