backup Bootable CD to ISO?

Hi,

I have a few bootable CDs that I would like to backup to ISO files rather than copying to another CD.

How can I do this?

I am aware of how to make a bootable CD from a Dos Boot Diskette, or the method used to slip stream a service pack into W2K or WXP cd and reburn, but I want to just take a CD I have, pop it in the drive, and copy to file. I dont want to have to play with extracting the boot sectors, creating the layout and such...

Using Clone CD, I can copy a CD to a file, however its a .CCD file that only seems to work with Clone CD.

Using Nero, I can use the Choose Recorder to select Image Recorder as the "drive" to use and then burn to a .NRG file. Again, only burnable with Nero.

Those two ways work, however, I'd like the output file to be an ISO, just in case I need a copy of the CD when Nero or CloneCD is NOT installed. In addition, ISO files can be used with MS Virtual PC and VMWare with out being burned to disc first.

You can use WinISO, IsoBuster and UltraISO to make .iso file.

IsoBuster is freeware and easy to use.
