Does anyone know if this will be full D1 720 x 576 or will they go for Half D1 of 352 x 288 ? I only ask cause its on the news everynight but they still haven't mentioned what bit rate they'll be using. I think I heard they're definitely going for AC3 audio though.

well i heard they're using a transport stream so it can be redirected at any time rather than a program stream.
I also heard it's a weird GOP pattern, there'll be this really big really pretty looking I frame and everyone will rejoice, and then there'll just be crappy B frames for the next 5 years. then a P frame come along, with the promised of an I like in the past, but really it'll just be another five years of B until someone else get put in office and creates another I. -
Nah, it's got to be a non-standard resolution!
