PowerVCR II: Runtime Error! abnormal program termination

Ok, here is the problem:

I have a capture card and i have used PowerVCR II for a couple of months but a couple weeks ago it stopped working and when i try to turn it on i get this error window. it is titled Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and the text inside it says Runtime Error! Program: [dir] abnormal program termination and all i can do is click OK and the program will close.

I have had this problem before, the solution was to format the hard drive and install windows again. Now that i dont have cable, i can't do that because of the amount of windows updates i will need to do after i install windows. I have tried downloading some new libraries from Microsoft's website, but they did nothing. I found a thread about this on this forum system but it didn't help me at all. Can you guys think of anything i can do to fix this? Right now i just have a dualboot set up and i go into the other installation to capture if i need to, but that is a real hastle when I am in a hurry.

Google the MS error and find the fix. Check the MS KB.
