analog to dital convert

hi, i'm very new to this so bear with me.i just startedvideo editing. i have a oldwer sony camcorder( which is analog)i'm usinmovie box usb to conect to my computer and pinnacle9 to capture andedit.i also hooked up a vcr to the movie box to burn old tapes on to dvd. my problem is that to video stalls after captured or i get an error message-fail to comply disk.any help would be appreciated.

There are more reasons for a failed capture than Will Hay has posts in the off topic forum

But since USB is not a widely used way to capture video, you may be stuck with a limited number of options.

I would first sugget making sure you have any patches available for your capture program.

Next try and see if there are any other free programs that will catpure from USB. I do not know if there are. That way you could try and isolate if its just the program acting up.

Hopefully someone that uses that program will come along and give better advice
