can someone help me.
I'm trying to put AVI files onto DVD-RW for the first time ever. I've managed to convert them, but now I'm running into trouble with authoring.
First I got an error saying that I had to turn the NTSC into PAL, so I did that and now I'm getting an error about GOP. Saying that the video sequence header is incorrect and that the video GOP is too long.
I'm starting to get really frustrated, every time I think I got it an other error pups up. Considering the fact that I'm rather a newbie...can someone help me ?????
And if so could you also tell me how to put severall episodes on a DVD-RW ??
Thanx

Before anyone can give you a precise answer, you have to tell us a little bit more information about what you are doing.
What encoder do you use? (TMPGenc?)
What authoring software do you use? (TMPG DvdAuthor?)
What are the specs of your avi? Resolution? Framerate?
You can find that out using AVIUtil.
Now if you are using tmpgenc, you have to do the following. Select the NTSC template if your video is 29.976fps or 23.976fps and the PAL Template if your video is 25fps. For 23.976 you also have to select under Setting/Video/Encode mode: 3:2pulldown when playback and under framerate: 23.976 (internally 29.976). And take a look at the guides if you are using different software.
Also be warned. Giving people a time limit to answer your question like you did could get people pretty pissed in this forum. -

Hope that helps. Good luck...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
