Hey folks, I've been out of the loop for a while.
I've traditionally just been using Nero Recode lately to do most of my DVD->DVDR backups. However, as you all know, larger movies have some rather serious artifacting if you try to keep ANY of the menus or extras.
I've seen, in the past few days, several all-in-one re-encoders. One based on Gordian Knot and another based on CCE.
I've always been a detractor of the "little 3", due to the fact that I really don't WANT to learn a new scripting language to back up one DVD a week. But are any of these all-in-one programs decent and/or worthwhile? I have a license for CCE, so I can easily plug that into one of these little proggies, and I suppose I could just try one.
Recommendations? Opinions?

test dvdrebuilder
second that...
It's a good (and getting better) beta program that is rapidly filling that niche for those high compression DVD9 -DVD5 backups
Which CCE license do you have? CCE Basic will encode (2 pass max) just fine, but SP, and dare I say, Pro ($$$) have more versatility. -
SP. I ain't rich enough or lucky enough to have obtained a pro license.

If you've only been using Nero Recode, I highly doubt you'll have any issues with the Basic version of CCE's features.
And Rebuilder is awesome.
